Chatty Caity

It was bound to happen. Between Daddy and Pop, this child has inherited the gift to gab.

We've got full sentences, folks. There are many "What's this?" -- no doubt a precursor to the nagging "Why?" stage that's yet to come. And it's not uncommon to hear "I want [applesauce/a drink/paci/etc.]."

All of this means it's time to watch our language. Our mini parrot already says "nasty," a little gem she picked up from her daycare teacher.

Even cuter than the talking is the singing. Every car ride is a concert. Portions of her songs have recognizable melodies and phrases. (Our favorite is "No more monkeys jumping!" accompanied by a finger shake.) And each song ends with Caitlyn cheering and clapping for herself.
