Summer lovin'

Sure the calendar said mid-April, but this weekend felt like mid-summer. The sun was bright, the temps were warm, and we took advantage of it by planting (hardy) flowers, blowing bubbles, visiting the playground, flying a kite and taking in a Senators baseball game -- where our kids even scored a foul ball (best case scenario: it bounced off of the stands, so no one had to suffer an injury for it...).

To top off an already great weekend, we celebrated Ma Jane's birthday with a Sunday brunch, where the kids loved running laps with Cassidy and helping Grandma blow out her candle.
