Cat as a Hat
Karen wears me like a hat,
She really likes me when I nap.
Whenever she drifts off to sleep,
I lay atop her head in a heap.
It’s not at her feet where I like to lay,
It’s on her head where I want to stay.
I lay on top of her with all my fur,
And then I give her lots of purrs.
I will not, cannot give up this time,
It’s too precious this time of mine.
I do not share it with the dog,
I would not share it with a bed hog.
This time, this time, it is for me,
I will not share it even with a baby!
