Hotober

October? Nah, the last week felt more like mid-summer. But time marches forward, so we visited the Paulus Farm for hot fun in the autumn-time.

Caitlyn's favorite part was picking gourds (understandably much more interesting than pumpkins), while Nathan enjoyed taking a hayride behind a tractor -- and watching Mommy shoot a pumpkin using the Pumpkin Chunkin cannon (hence the covered ears in the top-right photo).

The excitement for Halloween is definitely building. We broke out our decorations at home, and Caitlyn decided on a Tinkerbell costume for her and a pirate one for Nathan. Now the tough part -- namely for Peanut Girl -- is waiting for Trick-or-Treat night to arrive.
