Summer musings

We just came off of our annual week at the shore with extended family. We enjoyed good weather, good food and a gorgeous beach house.

Caitlyn spent most of her time glued to Cassidy’s side – even in the water, where Aunt Loraine choreographed a synchronized swimming routine for them to perform.

Nathan practiced baseball on the beach, jumped over sand piles, mastered his bike, and orchestrated an epic water battle in the pool. Besides our daily trips to the beach and pool, we fit in a few extra outings: playing mini golf with Pop, riding bikes along the Wildwood boardwalk with Grandma Jane, and making a Springer’s run for ice cream cones.

Then as soon as we returned home, it was time to focus on Nathan – our not-so-baby boy who turned four! He celebrated with mini golf and a train ride with Grandma and Pop; then a baseball game with Mommy, Daddy and Caitlyn; and finally ice cream cake at a July 4 party. He loved every present he opened and enjoyed every second of his birthday festivities.
