The great outdoors

We survived our first family camping (OK, borderline glamping) weekend!

Sleeping in a tent? Check!
Fishing? Check! (In fact, Peanut Girl caught her first fish!)
Roasting marshmallows? Check!
Doing rednecky things? Check! (Nathan played with (dart) guns in the back of a pickup truck.)

We also did a few less-than-typical camping things, like mini golfing (Nathan had his first hole-in-one!), racing down water slides, and playing on a giant bounce pad. Needless to say, the campground is also considered a resort of types, and most campers slept in RVs or cabins, rather than tents.

The kiddos loading up their marshmallow shooters (extra marshmallows -- along with hot dogs -- were used as bait when we went fishing):

We lucked out with perfectly warm yet dry weather and vowed to return next year.
