“Time keeps on slipping into the future…” – Steve Miller
Band
Our “babies” are big kids – off to first grade and pre-K at
new schools (Fishing Creek Elementary and the Children’s School of New
Cumberland, respectively). They both adapted beautifully as if the transitions were
nothing out of the ordinary. And that helped Mommy and Daddy adjust to them
reaching such grown-up milestones, too….
So far, Caitlyn is most chatty about art and music class and
loves that she can buy her lunch
(read: buy chocolate milk) at school. Nathan is bringing home lots of
interesting art projects, mastering how to write his name, and constantly talking
up the monkey bars and bicycles at his new school.
We also moved Nathan into his “big-boy” bedroom across the
hall from Caitlyn’s room. He now has a full-size bed – which fits him much better than his old toddler bed – new
bedding, and a purple (and a red and a blue) stripe on his walls. And he’s sleeping
like a champ in there, no doubt thanks in part to his busy school days and
beloved T-ball practices.
