It's official: We have a 5 year-old in the house!
Peanut Girl hit the big 0-5 on Sunday and celebrated her little bum off
-- starting with her breakfast of choice (diced bananas and
strawberries arranged in the shape of a number five and drizzled with
chocolate syrup), right on through her crafting party with friends, to a
pizza/ice cream/"kids' wine" (sparkling grape juice) dinner at home
with her extended family. Whew! Everyone was exhausted by Sunday night.
Then on Monday she celebrated over homemade cakepops with her friends at school and an afternoon Daddy-Caitlyn movie date.
We
weren't at all disappointed when a snowstorm unexpectedly sent us home
early on Tuesday, so we had the afternoon to recoup and play with
birthday presents.
