It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas -- and it began to look that way before Thanksgiving thanks to "Snow-vember." Really, a pre-Thanksgiving snowstorm is ideal for several reasons:
  1. School and work are closed, so there is plenty of time for sledding, snowperson making and snowball throwing (all of which we enjoyed on multiple ocassions).
  2. Gourds make perfect snowperson ears.
In addition to playing in the snow, we spent the long weekend decorating for Christmas.

The holiday is top of mind for the kids, who are now obsessed with staying on Santa's nice list -- a goal that, quite frankly, leads to frequent arguments along the lines of:

Caitlyn: Nathan! Santa is watching!
Nathan: No he isn't.
Caitlyn: Yes, he is!
Nathan: No he isn't.

And so on.... But it's all or nothing for these two: When they aren't fighting, they really are the best of buds.
