Summer of '17

What a June and July! We squeezed in an extended beach vacation, a sixth birthday celebration for Nathan, and a camping weekend.

Highlights from the shore included celebrating lots of summer birthdays, honing our chess games, performing an annual synchronized swimming routine, and watching a movie on the beach. 

For our yearly camping trip, we upgraded from a tent to a "rustic, one-room" cabin (with air conditioning!) this year.  The kids prefer tent camping (Karen not so much).

As for our resident 6 year-old (who celebrated with friends at a Transformer-themed swim and ice cream sundae party), he had his well visit and measured in at 48 lb. (60th percentile) and 47 ¾ inches (86th percentile). He’s long and lean, just like Caitlyn was at that age (and still is!).
