This is what 5 looks like

It feels like just yesterday that we were announcing Caitlyn as our resident 5 year-old. But time marches on, and our Little Man (who’s not so little, as described below) is now the big 0-5.

He partied all July 4 weekend, with friends on Saturday and family (to include his new birthday buddy, cousin Lauren!) on Monday.

Then, two weeks later, the celebration continued with a trip to NYC thanks to Grandma and Pop. Nathan rode the train into Penn Station, dined at an outdoor café in Bryant Park, saw The Lion King on Broadway, met the actor who played young Simba, and – much to his surprise – didn’t fall over when he looked up at the highest skyscrapers.

So how much of a difference does a year make? Quite a bit for a healthy, growing boy. Nathan went from 35.5 lb. (82 percentile) and 38.5” (71 percentile) at his 4-year well visit to 45 lb. (77 percentile) and 45” (87 percentile) at his 5-year checkup. Such big stuff on his way to kindergarten….
